Wow - We got spammed!

I've been away from the forum recently. But I suppose it's still getting some attention. Even though it might be from the wrong people. lol. Or bots in that matter.

Recently an array of bots joined the forum and made a number of posts. Which I've deleted now.

I've enabled user joining verification so that users will have to verify their email addresses, like they have to on most other forums. So I suppose that will stop them.

Anyway, these type of things happen with forums. Nothing much to worry about.

I remember the first time HTMedia was spammed... It sucked, but at least it was active.

Anyway, I'm sorry I've been too busy lately to come by here otherwise I could have helped you remove the spam posts.

edited a couple minutes later: I was viewing the other new posts and found more spam; now deleted.

Lets hope this new version of phpBB3 will hold the SPAM out - at least for a while.
