But what a mind job. The illustrious PhpBB Website getting hacked. lol Wow!

Here's the link to the hackers blog who claims to have hacked it. http://hackedphpbb.blogspot.com/2009/01 ... older.html

Haha;

Sorry, the blog at hackedphpbb.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.

Blogger deleted and blacklisted that address. Apparently Insecure.org copied it before people reported the blogger link for abuse.

I'm glad it wasn't as well.. Don't you use PhpBB 3 anyway? phpbb 2 was the only version vulnerable I think...

Actually the problem was about some phplists being used in the database which are no longer supported in latest versions of php. PhpBB 2 uses them. PhpBB 3 doesn't.

They were using those in a part of their website which was simply overlooked.

But things like these always make you wonder, "If it could happen to them then I could be next too". ;)

About RoadsOut.Com

Postby Asad Kay » Mon Jul 19, 2010 12:00 pm

Website is uploaded more or less but I keep getting errors while opening the pages and while trying to log in. I think it's because it wasn't a clean upload. I'm trying to upload the files again and overwrite all the previous files so that this would be fixed.

But the process takes a lot of time and most of the times it breaks up due to one reason or another. That is why it's taking too long.

Lets hope for the best.
